Fruitchet

Truchet tiles and fruit are layered together to make unique and playful fruit patterns, 2021.

This series inspired by the idea behind truchet tile as a method of pattern creation; that you can “stack” small tiles of distinct patterns to create a larger unique piece. This series is not generative, but instead is completely deterministic. Each fruit and background pattern, was pre-decided before implementation.

This series was created in R using primarily ggplot2 and ggforce packages for visualization and purrr and dplyr for data munging and preparation.
